Having won promotion in 1985/86, Bosham struggled in senior football, and were finally relegated back to Division Three at the end of the 1991/92 season. Two seasons later, they were promoted back again as champions. It was only a short resurgence however, as the following two seasons saw successive relegations back to the West Sussex Football League. 1998/99 proved to be a very successful season, winning the West Sussex Premier Division and returning once again to the County League. 1999/00 saw Bosham champions once again and return to senior football. Once again however, they found the jump in status a difficult one and were relegated once again back to Division Three. The club once again struggled in Division Three, but a late revival saw them finish one place off the bottom, five points clear of Uckfield Town. Although a relegation position, the resignation of Oving FC, and only Wadhurst United meeting the requirements for promotion spared them the drop. Until 2006/07, which can only be described as miserable, the previous few seasons had shown some improvement, with the club appearing reasonably comfortable in Division Three after many up and down seasons; and in 2004/05, reaching the Final of the Sussex Intermediate Cup, where they were defeated by Rustington. Season 2006/07 saw a repeat of four years earlier with Bosham again finishing bottom of the entire County League but spared relgation back to the West Sussex League due to a combinationonly one eligible applicant for promotion, and the League also being already a club short. The club finished the season with just two victories and only nine points, 15 points adrift of Hurstpierpoint, the club immediately above them. Attendances have never been high but despite last season's miseries appear to have evened out. Bosham’s average gate in 04/05 in fact was the lowest in the entire SCFL, but in 2006/07 they were spared that ignominy once again due to newcomers Loxwood recording an average of one spectator less, and Broadbridge Heath (Div 2) fairing even worse.
Description of ground A return visit is planned for 2007/08 but when I last vsited the only fixed perimeter rail was behind the goal nearest the clubhouse, with the remainder erected, along with dugouts, on match days. These were stored next to the clubhouse. The clubhouse itself is very comfortable inside and well-maintained. Dressing rooms are incorporated within. A small covered shelter has been built on to the front of the building.
