In July 2007 I launched 'Centre Circle Publishing' (CCPub). In the long term it is envisaged that the CCPub imprint will be used to publish books considered of too limited appeal to be of interest to mainstream publishing houses, but nevertheless of great interest to enthusiasts of non-League football in particular. Thus CCPub will specialise in relatively small print runs and will rely on the support of 'subscribers' prepared to invest in a particular project by pre-ordering volumes and thereby ensure that sufficient funds are available for the book to be printed and published.
A Season Of Sussex Soccer by David Bauckham & Terry Buckman
Full colour softback. 248mm x 175mm. 128 pages. Price: £12.50 (provisional, tbc). Anticipated publication date: May-June 2008.
The first publication under the CCPub imprint will be a collaboration between myself and Terry Buckman. 'A Season Of Sussex Soccer' will be produced during the 2007/08 season and will draw on the authors' extensive knowledge of football in their home county of Sussex.
The intention is to feature all Sussex clubs from Brighton & Hove Albion down to Division Three of the Sussex County League. In addition, the book will feature other Intermediate and Ladies' football; and also images of spectators and club officials and volunteers behind the scenes amid the splendid landscape that forms an attractive backdrop to the game in this South East corner of England.
In order to make this book a reality 300 subscribers are required, each paying £10 for an advance order (refundable if the book is not published - receipts provided). Subscribers will also have their name (or name of their choice) printed in the book.

Published in October 2006 to enthusiastic reviews, 'Dugouts' features a number of Sussex clubs; namely Eastbourne Borough, Eastbourne Town, Hurstpierpoint, Peacehaven & Telscombe, Pease Pottage Village, Plumpton Athletic, Rottingdean Village, Uckfield Town, and Upper Beeding. Full colour, hardback.

The Non League Football Grounds Of Sussex (2003)
Newlands Photographic, ISBN 1-900257-12-2 RRP £9.95
The only book detailing all Sussex non-League grounds down to and including SCFL Division Three. Originally published in 2003 the book includes now defunct clubs Oving and St. Leonards, as well as former County League clubs Upper Beeding and Wadhurst United; and serves as a valuable historical document. A limited number of copies are still available from Publisher Mike Floate. I have long-term plans for a 2nd Edition once the new Brighton & Hove Stadium at Falmer is complete. The follow-up will also include Recreation Grounds and historical photographs.
